College Contents page Research

This contents page is very colourful, this is so that it attracts the readers attention as they will need to read this to find out what the magazine has included inside so they can find out wether they would like to buy it or not, the title at the top of the page is big and bold and it has been placed on a white background, it is important for it to stand out so that the audience can see it properly and know what the page is.
The editor has written a short paragraph with the word welcome highlighted just above it they have included this as it introduces the magazine and tells readers what to expect from the magazine that they have published.
There arent many images on the contents page which means its not too overcrowded but the editor has included 3 images that are to do with the main stories so that it will attract the readers to buy the magazine and find out why these images have been included with this magazine.
The subheadings have been placed in a list which makes it look more of an organised, neat magazine, each subheading has a little bit of writing underneath it so that the audience can read them and find out more about what the stories are about which might make them want to read on to get the full story later in the magazine.
This contents page has its own unique house style, it has been kept simple as it only uses around 3 colours which all work well together, the headin which tells us what this page is , is coloured black and it has been placed on a white ground which makes it stand out, to also make it much more clearer it is bold and clearly visible at the top of the page.
The contents page has the main stories in a list form , each of the stories has a little bit written about it which gives us an insight into what the stories are about which will make us want to read on a bit more to find out what these stories are about, there are a few pictures on the right which are to do with the main stories which also gives us an insight into what they are about, each picture has a number which will help us to find what page they are on so we can quickly find the story, including pictures on the contents page is a good idea because it makes the stories appear more interesting and they help to hook the reader onto the stories.
